Dorothy and I are on the way for the Barta Boys & Girls Club Billfish tournament benefiting children in need in North Carolina. So far we have raised $895,000 on our way to $1,000,000.

This could never have been accomplished without over 50 volunteers who work all year to make this a reality.

Prior to this in 7 years I raised $1,000,000 in cash for the IGFA Junior Angler program.

God kept me alive for a reason and maybe fundraising for needy causes is it.

There still is massive support for me to do another tournament in the Bahamas or in Florida. I am considering it.

The weather looks perfect for our tournament, especially Thursday and Friday.

Along with the main event we are offering a second tournament with a good Calcutta or Dolphin. So I am excited to see how that goes.

I will send pictures as the tournament progresses.

One of these days my tide will come in and I will not be available to go to North Carolina. I’ll be looking down from Heaven on the whole thing. I hope the tournament continues long after that day happens.

Never Give Up, Never Say Never.

Again I want to thank every one of you for your support, your prayers and your blessings.

Catch ya later. Wind in your face, fair chase.

PS – I have one swordfish trip left for auction. If you want to bid on it, now is the time to do it.

PPS – Went swordfishing on Sunday, it was rough as a cuss, 6 to 8 footers. We released a small sword. I want to lead by example that there is no reason to harvest an immature sword when it can grow up to be a big one. Our fish was released successfully and a Swordfish flag fly’s right now on my center rigger. I am proud as a peacock.

PPS – My agent and handlers all tell me I am a dinosaur and these messages are way, way, way too long and that nobody will read them. I find that interesting. I think I’ll make them longer.
